What will you be doing:
The main responsibilities are as follows:
- Embedded software development.
- Improvement and maintenance of firmware of existing products.
- Digital Hardware Design (FPGA / VHDL).
- Signal processing algorithm development.
- Mathematical modelling of radar systems.
- Radar data analysis.
This role has an emphasis on the integration of our software within a Radar hardware environment. The requirement for travel is infrequent for both day trips or short 1-2 day visits to customer sites/vessels.
Due to this the nature of our products, voluntary consent for a security check is required for candidates being considered for this position.
Education and commercial experience: The successful candidate will have completed their studies in electrical engineering (B.Sc, M.Sc) with a focus on Information Communications Technologies or comparable education.
We would expect someone with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience post-graduation would be suited for this position.
Specific knowledge and experiences:
To be successful in this role we would expect the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate:
- Strong software skills with fluency in C++.
- Further knowledge in Python or Matlab would be helpful, but not mandatory.
- Solid understanding of software architecture.
- Familiarity with GNU/Linux is a plus.
- Basic knowledge in VHDL / FPGA development (ideally with Xilinx / Zynq).
- Experience with the Xilinx toolchain (Vivado) would be helpful.
- Experience using common lab measurement tools (Multimeter, Oscilloscope etc.).
- Good English and German skills spoken and written (technical English).
