What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware for robotic medical systems and smart devices
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, robotics, and systems) to integrate motion control, sensing, and safety functions
- Optimize performance of robotic components including actuators, sensors, and controllers
- Implement and test real-time algorithms for motion planning and control
- Ensure firmware meets stringent medical safety and quality standards (e.g. ISO 13485, IEC 62304)
- Support system validation, risk analysis, and regulatory documentation
What You Bring
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related discipline
- Solid experience with embedded C/C++, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and bare-metal programming
- Hands-on experience with robotics systems, kinematics, and control theory
- Familiarity with microcontroller platforms (ARM Cortex-M) and hardware communication protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, UART)
- Experience with sensor integration, motor control (e.g. BLDC, stepper), or ROS is a plus
- Understanding of safety-critical systems and relevant medical standards
- Analytical mindset with a team-oriented attitude
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage
