As a Service Engineer Commissioning Automation (m/f/d) at Sentronics Metrology (a Nova Company) in Mannheim, you will play a key role in commissioning our high-precision metrology systems for the semiconductor industry - directly on-site at customer locations worldwide. You will install, configure, and test our systems, ensuring a smooth handover to the customer. In close collaboration with our development and applications teams, you serve as the technical interface to the customer and contribute significantly to the quality and innovative strength of our solutions.

Role responsibilities:

  • Commissioning our automated high-tech metrology systems worldwide – from installation and parameter configuration to finalizing customer acceptance at renowned client sites
  • Preparing systems at our Mannheim site, including careful parameter setup and initial functional testing
  • Finalizing system commissioning on-site, coordinating acceptance tests, and ensuring seamless integration into existing production environments
  • Conducting technical trainings and onboarding sessions for customer teams
  • Performing all tasks in line with clearly defined quality standards, especially under our ISO 9001 certification
  • Documenting service activities in detail and providing constructive feedback to internal teams to support continuous product improvement
  • Working in close collaboration with development, application, and service teams to bring innovative technologies to successful customer implementation


Requirements:

  • Strong technical background, ideally supported by a Bachelor's or Master's degree or advanced qualification as a state-certified technician
  • Solid expertise in mechanics, electrical engineering, automation technology, or information technology, with a strong ability to thrive in technically complex environments
  • Hands-on experience in commissioning, technical service, or working with complex systems is a plus – not a requirement
  • Confident and skilled in working with IT systems and modern diagnostic tools as part of everyday operations
  • Highly structured, quality-driven mindset with excellent technical comprehension
  • Strong communication skills with a clear, customer-focused approach and a professional presence in international contexts
  • Excellent command of both German and English, combined with a high level of flexibility and willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20–40%)
