Sales Account– IEG Deutschland Gmbh


Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), listed on the Screen-based Share Market (MTA) organised and managed by Borsa Italiana S.p.A., is a leader in Italy in the organisation of trade fairs and one of the main operators in the trade fair and conference sector at European level, with structures in Rimini and Vicenza, as well as further sites in Milan and Arezzo. The IEG Group is notable in the organisation of events in six categories: Food & Beverage; Jewellery & Fashion; Tourism & Hospitality; Wellness, Sports & Leisure; Lifestyle & Innovation; Green & Technology. In the last few years, IEG started a significant expansion process abroad, also by means of joint-ventures with global or local organizers (for example, in the United States, Arab Emirates, Mexico, China and India). IEG run 48 exhibitions and 190 conferences a year globally.


We are looking for a qualified Sales Account to join our team to build a locally based team in Germany to drive IEG commercial success: your main goal will be to increase IEG sales in Germany and to grow the participation of German buyers and visitors to our events in Italy and in the world.


Reporting to the IEG Country Manager in Germany, you will be part of IEG International Development Division. You will need excellent IEG Deutschland Gmbh sales and key account skills and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience, the ability to grasp the fundamentals and content of various industries and excellent attention to detail.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success
  • Develop positive relationships with clients
  • Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs
  • Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks
  • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
  • Supervise account representatives to ensure sales increase
  • Report on the status of accounts and transactions
  • Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives
  • Monitor sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth


Requirements

  • Extensive experience in international exhibition sales, as a Sales account manager or Sales account executive
  • Experience in the Green/ Tech industry appreciated (new technologies, green energy, renewables, etc.)
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer experience
  • Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
  • BSc degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field
  • Native or fluent German speaker, fluent English. Knowledge of Italian is optional but preferred.


Based in Germany, you will have a German employment contract, by our German subsidiary. You need to be organized to work remotely and having frequent video calls with the Country Director and IEG colleagues.
