The Company:
Our client is a leading player in the B2C sector, generating approximately €350 million in revenue with highly attractive profitability. The company follows a dynamic buy-and-build strategy with a proven track record. As part of its continued expansion and in preparation for a potential exit, we are looking for an experienced and strategically-minded CFO to join from summer/fall 2025, ideally with strong capital markets experience.
Your Profile:
- Several years of experience as a CFO, ideally in a fast-growing B2C or multi-site business
- Extensive experience with capital market processes and exit strategies (IPO, Private Equity, Trade Sale), and financing topics – a key requirement
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS, ideally within an international context
- Proven experience managing and integrating M&A transactions (buy-and-build strategy)
- Successful track record of collaboration with investors, banks, and private equity firms
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong strategic and analytical thinking; proven track record in value creation and performance management
- Deep understanding of retail or branch-based business models with operational complexity
- Familiarity with modern finance software, data analytics, and data warehousing
- Hands-on mentality and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Passion for the business model, interest in sports, and alignment with the company’s strategic vision
- Proven leadership skills in developing, motivating, and managing finance teams during growth phases
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and implement a financial strategy that ensures sustainable growth, profitability, and capital market readiness
- Monitor financial performance, identify optimization opportunities, and steer overall financial success
- Lead financial planning, cash flow planning, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysis
- Oversee group financial statements and reporting in accordance with IFRS
- Prepare and execute capital market and exit strategies (IPO, trade sale, or private equity exit)
- Structure and manage financing rounds, including equity and debt capital measures
- Manage investor relations and communication with banks, investors, and other stakeholders
- Oversee acquisitions from a financial perspective as part of the buy-and-build strategy
- Support financial due diligence
