IP Attorney

We are currently seeking an IP Attorney to join our IP Operations department as soon as possible.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work closely with IP Portfolio Managers, R&D teams, product management, and other stakeholders to execute the company's IP strategy and contribute to the team's success.
- Assess ideas and concepts, drive invention disclosures, and oversee the filing, prosecution, and granting of intellectual property rights to build strategic IP portfolios.
- Ensure high-quality and enforceable IP rights through direct work and collaboration with external patent agents.
- Act as the company’s representative before patent and trademark offices during the filing and prosecution process.
- Conduct and oversee strategic risk assessments, including freedom-to-operate analyses, opposition/invalidation evaluations, and related recommendations.
- Assist in IP portfolio management, licensing, sales, acquisitions, and infringement analysis.
- Advise business, research, and development teams on technical and legal IP matters, while also contributing to internal IP education initiatives.
- Support continuous optimisation of workflows, frameworks, and tools for patent attorney functions.
Your Profile:
- Degree in physics or mechanical engineering with professional experience in an industrial patent department or patent law firm.
- Ideally, qualification as a German Patent Attorney or European Patent Attorney.
- Familiarity with business models, market trends, and the technology landscape relevant to the IP portfolio.
- Strong interest and ability to engage with cutting-edge technology.
- Experience in evaluating IP strategic risks.
- Ability to effectively interact with business leaders, inventors, and IP professionals.
- Structured, well-organized approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach.
- Fluency in German and English is required
