International General Ledger Accountant

Location: Frankfurt

Our client is seeking an International General Ledger Accountant to support their accounting operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with local and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings for international subsidiaries, including relevant note disclosures.
• Maintain and reconcile ledgers under both local GAAP and IFRS, ensuring accurate alignment.
• Collaborate with external payroll and tax partners to meet local compliance requirements.
• Prepare statutory filings such as VAT, CIT prepayments, and provisional tax returns.
• Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements and serve as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors, tax authorities, and cross-functional teams.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in accounting.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of French is a plus.
• Excellent communication in English.
• Detail-oriented, flexible, and a strong team player.
