Job Title: Senior Landscape Architect
Location: Frankfurt am Main
A leading European renewable energy company is seeking to strengthen its Urban Design team with an experienced Landscape Architect. As part of the broader project development department, this role will ensure solar farms and energy storage projects are developed in line with regulatory frameworks, while being environmentally sustainable and harmoniously integrated into the landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage development planning procedures (including new plans, amendments to development plans, and land use changes) in accordance with the German Federal Building Code (BauGB and relevant building regulations)
- Prepare and develop planning documentation and concepts
- Coordinate with city and municipal authorities throughout the planning process
- Integrate environmental and technical expert assessments (e.g., species protection, emissions, geology) into planning materials
- Liaise with public interest bodies (TÖB), ensuring compliance with Sections 3, 4, 4a, and 4b of the BauGB
- Prepare and deliver project presentations within the context of development planning
- Ensure adherence to all relevant construction and planning laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Degree in landscape planning, spatial/urban planning, or a related field
- Registered with the Federal Chamber of Architects (BAK)
- 5–8 years of experience in land planning, including at least 3 years in the renewable energy sector
- Strong experience in urban development planning and a thorough understanding of construction and planning law
- Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken)
