OUR CLIENT
Our client is a well-established global provider of power and EMI/EMC filter solutions, currently growing its presence across Europe. They design and produce power supplies, EMI/EMC filters, and industrial power systems for industries such as medical, aerospace, industrial, and defense.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The FAE is primarily responsible for providing technical and application support to customers. The FAE will also support Power Supplies, with the assistance of our Power Supplies FAEs. This is to assist in the selection of the appropriate solutions for their requirements, resolve customer issues, and develop requirements in pursuit of new business development. The candidate will work with the design engineers, marketing personnel and the field sales team to accomplish these objectives.
The FAE will ideally be located within their assigned region and work out of a home office. Travel is expected to average 60% within territory on a weekly basis, plus around 10% out of region within or outside of Europe, as the need arises.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the EMC Subject Matter Expert: Apply your knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility and power filtering to assist customers in addressing application-specific technical challenges and compliance issues.
- Engage with Customers: Develop strong, trust-based relationships with engineers and decision-makers across Central Europe, working closely with them to provide tailored solutions.
- Support Sales Engagements: Join forces with the sales team to deliver compelling product demos, conduct technical discussions, and provide expert input during the sales process.
- Deliver Technical Training: Conduct workshops and presentations to educate both customers and internal staff on EMC best practices and our product capabilities.
- Gather Field Intelligence: Capture technical feedback and application insights to inform and influence future product development and innovation.
- Hands-On Problem Solving: Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting support for EMC and power issues, ensuring rapid resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor Market Trends: Keep an eye on customer pain points, competitor activities, and evolving industry requirements to help guide product strategy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong expertise in EMI/EMC and line filtering for electronic equipment.
- Must have practical experience using a soldering iron—comfortable working with hardware at the bench level.
- Electronic or Electrical Engineering degree along with prior EMI Filter application experience
- Experience in identifying and solving EMC issues during system integration or compliance testing.
- Background as an EMC Engineer or a Field Application Engineer with a focus on EMC filters (testing and application, not necessarily design)
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Fluent in German and English for business communication
