Maintenance Manager (Fluent German Required)

Location: Hannover, Germany

Salary: €85,000 – €100,000 + 15% Bonus

Pod Talent is excited to be partnering with a global manufacturing business to recruit a Site Manager – Maintenance & Facilities in Hannover. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of maintenance, building management, and operational reliability at a key production facility.

This role offers the chance to lead a skilled team, drive continuous improvement, and develop long-term strategies for asset reliability, energy efficiency, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities for the position of Maintenance Manager:

• Lead and develop a team of four direct reports across mechanical, electrical, facilities, and lean functions.
• Oversee maintenance, lifecycle management, and building operations, ensuring continuous availability of equipment.
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, implementing best practices in root cause analysis and CMMS systems.
• Develop and implement long-term maintenance strategies, including budget planning, spare parts management, and energy monitoring.
• Manage external contractors and service providers, negotiating agreements for maintenance and facility operations.
• Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives and collaborate cross-functionally to improve efficiency.
• Lead the site’s energy management programme, focusing on sustainability and cost efficiency.

Key Requirements for the position of Maintenance Manager:

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance or facility management within a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of maintenance practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, and CMMS systems.
• Proven leadership experience managing multi-functional teams.
• Proficiency in SAP PM, MS Office, and experience with LEAN methodologies (Preferable).
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, particularly with external service providers.
• Fluent in German and English.
