About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP HCM Consultant with a specialization in German Payroll (PY) to support ongoing projects and ensure seamless payroll processing and compliance with German legislation. This is a fully remote role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic, international team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain SAP HCM Payroll (PY) for Germany in line with legal and business requirements.
• Analyse, design, and implement end-to-end payroll solutions within SAP HCM.
• Ensure compliance with German labour and tax laws within the payroll system.
• Act as the primary point of contact for SAP German PY support tickets, enhancements, and payroll run issues.
• Work closely with stakeholders across HR, Finance, and IT to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in testing, documentation, and user training related to payroll processes.
• Provide ongoing support for upgrades, patches, and legal changes affecting German payroll.
• Collaborate with offshore/onshore teams, where applicable.

Key Requirements:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in SAP HCM with a focus on German Payroll (PY).
• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll configuration and processing in SAP for Germany.
• Strong understanding of German payroll legislation, taxes, social insurance, and reporting obligations.
• Fluent in German (written and spoken) – mandatory.
• Proficient in English for internal communication and documentation.
• Experience working in remote and international environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.

Desirable:

• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors integration (esp. EC Payroll).
• Exposure to SAP Time Management (PT).
• Familiarity with SAP HR Renewal or SAP Fiori Apps related to HCM.
• Previous experience in consulting or shared services environments.
