Role Overview
The company is looking to hire a Senior Investment Manager to join its team in Frankfurt. The role will focus on originating, structuring, and executing investments in renewable energy and storage projects, primarily across Europe. This includes both equity and structured debt investments in utility-scale and C&I projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and structure renewable energy and storage transactions, including solar PV and battery assets
- Lead due diligence across technical, financial, legal, and commercial workstreams
- Build and review financial models, investment memoranda, and credit papers
- Negotiate term sheets and transaction documents with counterparties
- Maintain and develop relationships with developers, EPCs, advisors, and banks
- Monitor and optimise performance of existing investments, including refinancing or exit strategies
- Contribute to strategy development for new markets and technologies
Candidate Profile
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in project finance, energy investing, or structured finance
- Solid understanding of renewable energy project economics, capital structures, and risk allocation
- Experience with both debt and equity structures is highly desirable
- Familiarity with the European regulatory and market landscape for renewables
- Track record of closed transactions in solar and/or storage is required
- Fluent in English; German is a strong plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently in a lean team
- Based in (or open to relocating to) Frankfurt
