Head of Sales for Antennas & Space Access
We are seeking a dedicated team leader for the Future Programs department in the business area Astronomy & Space Access. In this exciting field, we develop projects in antennas and telescopes for our astronomy sector clients. We also use antennas and telescopes in the business areas of satellite communication and space surveillance.. One particularly exciting aspect of our work is that we can implement projects on every continent.
Your Responsibilities
- Technical and disciplinary leadership, evaluation, and further development of the team
- Planning and coordination of personnel deployment
- Responsibility for the execution of all proposal activities and studies on future topics
- Business development, including the creation of project-specific business concepts
- Proposal management: leading offer and contract negotiations
- Creation of market analyses
- Contact person for customers and partners
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers, decision-makers, and other industry leaders
- Responsibility for incoming orders in new business
Your Qualifications
- Completed university degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in a relevant environment; experience in both sales and satellite communication is desirable
- Experience in customer relations
- Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and high cooperation readiness
- Good communication skills and a high degree of empathy and assertiveness
- Innovative mindset and a well-organized, structured working style
- Knowledge of customers, competitors, and suppliers
- Willingness to travel (approx. 30%) to other sites and (potential) customers
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Organized and structured approach to work
- Initial leadership experience desirable
