Warehouse and Transport Analyst

Location: Germany

Type: 6-month contract with possibility of extension


We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Warehouse and Transport Analyst to support the performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our client’s end-to-end supply chain operations. This dual-function role sits at the heart of our clients logistics function and will play a key role in ensuring their warehouse and transport operations run smoothly, cost-effectively, and in line with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


Warehouse Analytics:

  • Monitor and analyse warehouse KPIs such as inventory accuracy, pick accuracy, throughput, and space utilisation.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve warehouse productivity, reduce waste, and enhance service levels.
  • Support inventory management and forecasting through data-driven reporting and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.

Transport Analytics:

  • Analyse transport performance including on-time delivery, cost per shipment, route optimisation, and carrier performance.
  • Work closely with logistics partners and internal stakeholders to identify and resolve transport inefficiencies.
  • Track and manage transport spend, highlighting cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
  • Support planning of deliveries to optimise load utilisation and reduce carbon footprint.

General Duties:

  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate master data across systems and ensure alignment between warehouse and transport operations.
  • Participate in logistics projects including system upgrades, new process rollouts, and automation initiatives.
  • Support compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements in both warehouse and transport environments.


Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, or transport analyst role (ideally in a fast-paced or FMCG environment).
  • Strong Excel and data visualisation skills (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Knowledge of WMS, TMS, or ERP systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both operational teams and senior stakeholders.
