Are you passionate about cutting-edge research in optical communication? Do you want to work with a major tech leader to shape the future of optical networks? We are looking for an Optical DSP Researcher to join a dynamic team in Munich, Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Research and design advanced modems for optical communication networks (access, data center, metro, and long-haul networks).
• Develop innovative signal processing concepts and architectures.
• Collaborate closely with product development teams to implement key designs into commercial products.
• Participate in top academic conferences and publish research in leading journals (e.g., OFC, ECOC, JLT, PTL).

Qualifications:

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and machine learning techniques.
• Strong background in optical and wireless communication systems, including modulation, equalization, synchronization, and forward error correction.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with an open mind and a collaborative approach.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
