Contract Opportunity — Deputy Outsourcing Officer

We are supporting a leading global financial services technology provider with a strong presence in Germany. The company is seeking an experienced Deputy Outsourcing Manager to join their team on a contract basis.

In this role, you will work closely with the Outsourcing Officer and key stakeholders to ensure full compliance with AT 9 ZAG-MaRisk and other regulatory requirements governing outsourcing and third-party risk. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the governance of critical outsourced services in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as deputy to the Outsourcing Officer for all matters related to outsourcing governance and oversight.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of outsourcing management processes in line with AT 9 ZAG-MaRisk and internal policies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all outsourcing arrangements, including sub-outsourcing.
• Advise business units on internal and regulatory outsourcing requirements.
• Prepare and coordinate contract negotiations with service providers, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are aligned with Legal, Risk, and Data Protection.
• Coordinate and review risk analyses performed by business units.
• Recommend actions to mitigate conflicts of interest and support sound risk management.
• Oversee business continuity and exit strategy planning for outsourced services.
• Manage ongoing outsourcing risks, including concentration risk, and produce risk reports for management.
• Support the review and ongoing enhancement of the company’s outsourcing programme.
• Drive planning and risk assessment for new outsourcing initiatives, including criticality and materiality evaluations.

Profile Sought:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g. Business Administration, Economics, Business Law, Law, or equivalent).
• 5+ years of professional experience in comparable outsourcing governance or third-party risk roles.
• Deep understanding of the regulation of financial services companies, including AT 9 ZAG-MaRisk.
• Proven experience drafting and reviewing outsourcing contracts, including SLAs and KPIs.
• Familiarity with IT service management practices (ITIL or similar frameworks a plus).
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and communication skills.
• Confident and assertive stakeholder management style.
• Fluent German and English (both written and spoken) required.
