Technical author to join our client based in Bonn, Western Germany. The client is particularly interested in candidates with technical author/documentation writing experience covering engineering equipment, operational process plants or operational manuals for heavy industry sectors.

The preference would be for a technical author who has worked in an engineering environment with a technical background. The client specifically requires candidates to work creating operation and maintenance manuals for skid packages which will be installed at process plants.

START: ASAP – June start available

LOCATION: Bonn, Western Germany

RATES: Market Rates (local payroll in DE or international payroll in home country available)

Technical Author – Engineering Client - ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Technical Author/Technical Document Writing working history

5+ years working experience

Ability to write OEM or Operations manual

Experience working with engineering projects

Understanding of engineering projects, delivery process and drawings

Working history with heavy engineering projects (nuclear, Oil&Gas, Chemical, Treatment Plants)

Windows Office systems experience

BENEFICIAL SKILLS:

Ability to read engineering drawings

Any technical engineering skills

The client requires a technical author to join them on a contractual basis, the role would be to support the projects team, creating new technical documentation and working on/updating existing documentation in line with current projects and equipment being delivered.
