Key Account Manager

We are assisting a confidential client, an international manufacturer of performance components industrial vehicle markets, in the search of a Key Account Manager (KAM) to drive and consolidate its business across Germany (DACH).


The successful candidate will manage key client relationships, pursue new business, and play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s growth strategy in highly technical and regulated environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand commercial activities across Germany and the wider DACH region, with a particular focus on the industrial vehicle manufacturers (Aviation, Trucks, Rail, OEM,...)
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring strong after-sales engagement and retention.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through structured prospection and industry networking.
  • Handle the full sales cycle: from lead generation to contract negotiation, tender management (RFPs), and deal closure.
  • Ensure effective order follow-up, coordinating with technical and production teams to meet delivery expectations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of product specifications and applications, especially in glazing and component solutions for rolling stock and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Work in close alignment with internal stakeholders (engineering, quality, operations) to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant industry norms and certifications, ensuring client solutions comply with required standards.


Key Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Key Account Management or Business Development, preferably within industrial vehicles, rail, OEM, or specialty manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven commercial acumen and experience managing complex accounts in a technical, regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant Industrial Vehicle Customers standards is essential:
  • Fluent in German (Mother Tongue) and English (written and verbal).
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the DACH region.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or commercial field (Engineering, Business, etc.).
